Sustainable ecosystem for home health care tech to support tiered care system

:::

At Thursday's weekly Cabinet meeting, Premier Cho Jung-tai received a National Science and Technology Council report on a policy for promoting home health care technology. The premier said that the policy, as part of the government's "Healthy Taiwan" vision, will leverage technology integration to extend medical and care services into homes and communities. This approach supports the implementation of Taiwan's tiered health care system while also helping to drive industrial innovation and development.

Premier Cho also directed all involved ministries and agencies to work together in promoting the home health care technology policy, noting that it integrates resources across industry, government, academia, research and health care. He called on them to consider the needs of front-line health care workers and the public, make timely adjustments and improvements to policy tools and implementation mechanisms based on those needs, and regularly conduct rolling reviews of progress and outcomes, in order to build a sustainable ecosystem for home health care technology.
