Premier pushes for all-around win following Legislature's approval of special budget for infrastructure program

:::

The Legislature approved the first-term special budget for the Forward-looking Infrastructure Development Program following a third reading early this morning.

At today's Cabinet meeting, Premier Lin Chuan advised relevant agencies to quickly adjust programs as necessary to reflect the Legislature's cuts to the budget, and then put those programs into action. As for the many viewpoints expressed by various legislators and civil groups, the premier instructed all departments to continue active communication in order to achieve consensus and create a win-win situation.

As the Forward-looking Infrastructure Development Program is an important government objective, the heads of all ministries involved should personally monitor and guide progress, and move quickly to overcome any obstacles, said Premier Lin. The premier also asked the National Development Council to increase supervision and release quarterly progress reports.
