Premier urges thorough preparation for Typhoon Tembin

:::
As Typhoon Tembin approached today, Premier Sean Chen instructed central and local governments to increase their vigilance and thoroughly prepare emergency response mechanisms in order to limit casualties as much as possible.

Chen also indicated that the recent succession of typhoons has caused large fluctuations in the wholesale prices of produce, and the Council of Agriculture should continue to monitor fruit and vegetable supply and demand, watch out for price gouging and execute policy responses when appropriate.
