:::
At the Cabinet's weekly meeting today, Premier Mao Chi-kuo instructed the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) to continue working with local authorities to monitor the treatment and recovery of victims of the June 27 powder explosion at the Formosa Fun Coast Water Park in New Taipei City.

After the MOHW's report on the latest situation, Premier Mao said this is a critical time for the severely injured burn patients, and it is important that they receive the best medical treatment and care possible. As of today, over 60 patients have been released from the hospital and begun receiving follow-up support from the government.

The premier also directed the MOHW to prepare more medical supplies and donor skin needed by hospitals, and to keep track of the nation's inventory so as to make efficient use of medical resources and personnel. The MOHW was also tasked with coordinating volunteers from different counties and cities and ensuring that local health and social welfare departments do their parts.

Premier Mao urged the nation to pray for the injured and their families and to support physicians, nurses, counselors, social workers and volunteers for their tireless efforts. He also expressed gratitude to the MOHW, the Ministry of Education, New Taipei City, as well as other ministries and departments and local governments for their dedication and hard work.
