Youth Overseas Dream Fund to unlock international horizons for young Taiwanese

:::

At the Cabinet's weekly meeting Thursday, Premier Cho Jung-tai received a Ministry of Education briefing on the NT$10 billion (US$307.3 million) Youth Overseas Dream Fund program. The premier said the program's purpose is to encourage young Taiwanese in different fields to engage in international exchanges, expand their global horizons and acquire professional expertise. By helping young people fulfill their dreams, young people will help Taiwan fulfill its dreams.

Premier Cho said the program will be executed through a "dream workshop team," a "soaring overseas team," and an "annual flagship plan." As a national-level cross-ministerial collaborative initiative, it will require the support of all relevant ministries and agencies in developing new opportunities such as internships at overseas organizations and institutions, and the premier thus requested full cooperation in its implementation.
