Technology and culture expo fosters innovation, cross-sector collaboration

:::

At Thursday's weekly Cabinet meeting, Premier Cho Jung-tai received a Ministry of Culture (MOC) report on the implementation of the 2026 Taiwan Technology x Culture Expo (TTXC). The premier said that the expo—jointly organized by the MOC and the Kaohsiung City Government in collaboration with relevant ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Digital Affairs and Ministry of Economic Affairs—has attracted more than four million visits over the years, generating about NT$700 million (approximately US$21.6 million) in investment and creating as much as NT$1.2 billion (approx. US$37 million) in business opportunities. The event has grown into a major platform for highlighting Taiwan's cultural technology, promoting industry exchanges and advancing international partnerships.

Premier Cho noted that the 2026 TTXC, themed "All In AI—AI Dimension: The Symbiotic Era," featured seven thematic concept exhibitions, six future-focused showcases and more than 100 industry matchmaking and networking events, as well as 25 international forums offering insights into the far-reaching effects of artificial intelligence on cultural creation, industry development and social relations.

The premier pointed out that artificial intelligence and the cultural and creative sector are among the 13 strategic industries designated by the Executive Yuan as key for national development. He called on related ministries and agencies to further strengthen cross-ministerial policy coordination and resource integration, fostering synergistic relationships between cultural content, technological R&D and industrial applications. He added that, drawing on the experience gained from hosting the TTXC in Kaohsiung, the central government should expand its scope of cooperation with local governments to build a cross-sector, co-creative cultural technology ecosystem, thereby enhancing Taiwan's creative capabilities and boosting its global competitiveness.
