At a July 5 Cabinet meeting, Premier Sean Chen instructed ministries and agencies to closely coordinate with the Executive Yuan's Yunlin-Chiayi-Tainan Joint Services Center in Chiayi City, which was established July 1 and began operations July 2, saying it would greatly strengthen the partnership between central and local government.
Chen also indicated that besides providing convenient single-window service, the center will communicate important government policies and address matters of public concern in a friendly and easily understandable way, and it will gather residents' opinions so they can serve as a resource for policymakers.
