Central, local governments continue push for residential rooftop solar power

:::

At the Cabinet's weekly meeting Thursday, Premier Cho Jung-tai received a Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) briefing on a program to accelerate installation of residential rooftop solar power. Promotion of solar power is a very important component of the government's energy policy, the premier said, and since there is still considerable potential for growth in rooftop solar photovoltaic systems, the government must continue to intensify efforts in this area.

Premier Cho asked the MOEA, Ministry of the Interior and local governments to maintain open communication and, if there is a need to establish subsidiary regulations or operational guidelines, to submit them for approval according to the proper procedures.
