Executive Yuan grateful for passage of labor law amendments, vows to protect worker rights

Premier Lai Ching-te thanked the Legislature for today's passage of the Labor Standards Act amendments, expressing gratitude to Legislative Speaker Su Jia-chyuan, Deputy Speaker Tsai Chi-chang and all legislators for their support and hard work, Executive Yuan Minister without Portfolio and Spokesperson Hsu Kuo-yung said.

In its revisions to the act, the Executive Yuan kept four measures unchanged to guarantee workers' rights, and created four measures to provide greater flexibility for business operations and worker schedule arrangements. It remains firm in its commitment to protecting the rights and safety of workers, Minister Hsu said.
