Amendments to three gender equality laws take force on International Women's Day

At the Cabinet's weekly meeting Thursday, Premier Chen Chien-jen wished all women a happy holiday for International Women's Day on Friday, March 8. The premier expressed his gratitude for the ongoing hard work and contributions of women across diverse fields, which are a critical force lifting up Taiwanese society.

The premier said tomorrow is also an important day since it coincides with amendments to three gender equality laws coming into force, with all necessary preparatory work for the amendments now complete. He called on the public and private sectors to work together to implement and promote the amended laws, and to continue proactively building a gender-friendly society with zero tolerance for sexual harassment.
