National Cybersecurity Development Program enters seventh phase

:::

At the Cabinet's weekly meeting Thursday, Premier Cho Jung-tai received a report from the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA) on the seventh phase of the National Cybersecurity Development Program (2025-2028). In response to new forms of cyber threats and the information security challenges posed by the rise of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), the premier instructed all ministries and agencies to conduct security planning in accordance with the program and to ensure robust cybersecurity safeguards are put in place.

Premier Cho also directed MODA to build a national cybersecurity defense system that inspires public confidence, following the strategies laid out in the development program and in alignment with Taiwan's National Cybersecurity Strategy 2025 vision. This includes promoting whole-of-society cybersecurity defense, enhancing the cybersecurity resilience of critical infrastructure, bolstering the domestic cybersecurity industry, and advancing the application and collaborative development of new AI cybersecurity technologies.
