Premier Cho: Enhance national health via Healthy Taiwan Cultivation Plan

:::

At the weekly Cabinet meeting on Thursday, Premier Cho Jung-tai was briefed by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) on the Healthy Taiwan Cultivation Plan for 2025-2029. Noting the substantial funding required for the plan, the premier directed the MOHW to facilitate appropriate preparations and implementation and to prudently handle solicitation, review and subsidy processes, so as to ensure that all medical professionals can receive support and all resources are properly allocated. He further said that existing health care systems and service models should continue to operate and be promoted to achieve the policy goal of sustainable, deep-rooted development.

The premier emphasized that his administrative team will implement the Healthy Taiwan Cultivation Plan—part of President Lai Ching-te's broader Healthy Taiwan policy initiative—to help the medical system overcome its current limitations and build a more resilient and inclusive health care model. By comprehensively upgrading the health care environment, the plan aims to enhance national health and well-being and to realize the vision of transforming Taiwan into the most medically advanced country in the Asia-Pacific region.
