Premier Cho lauds anti-fraud platform, calls for stronger anti-fraud collaboration

:::

At the Cabinet's weekly meeting Thursday, Premier Cho Jung-tai was briefed by the Ministry of Digital Affairs (MODA) on the effectiveness of the Anti-Fraud Reporting and Inquiry Platform, a digital platform that enables the public to verify or report suspicious online advertisements in real time. The premier said that the platform has helped establish a nationwide collaborative anti-fraud network and achieved significant results, with 219,616 reports filed since its launch on September 30, 2024, through June 5, 2025, leading to the removal of 122,119 advertisements.

In response to the ever-evolving nature of online scam advertisements, Premier Cho called on MODA to continue conducting risk assessments of online advertising platforms, while also consolidating data on scam cases, user behavior patterns and the characteristics of fraudulent advertisements, with the goal of achieving more accurate fraud risk predictions and improving real-time interceptions.
