Utility prices to be kept stable over Lunar New Year

:::
At the Cabinet's weekly meeting today, the Ministry of Economic Affairs reported that it will keep the nation's water and electricity prices unchanged over the Lunar New Year holiday. In addition, prices of gasoline, diesel and liquefied natural gas will only be adjusted downward and not upward from the day before the long public holiday to the day after (that is, from January 29 to February 5 for a total of eight days).

Premier Jiang Yi-huah instructed the ministry to see to it that these policies are properly carried out by the state-owned utilities Taiwan Power Co., Taiwan Water Co., and petroleum giant CPC Corp.
