FORMOSAT-7 to keep watchful eye over Taiwan

:::

Premier Su Tseng-chang on Thursday praised the launch of the FORMOSAT-7 satellite constellation on June 25 at 2:30 pm (Taipei time) as a major achievement for the nation. Now operating in space, the satellites will make meteorological forecasts more precise and help protect the people of Taiwan.

The premier attributed the success of this mission to more than 10 years of hard work by a dedicated team of scientists and researchers. He also thanked the United States for its assistance in lifting the FORMOSAT-7 into orbit.

Every individual plays an essential role in national development, Premier Su continued. He urged the nation to come together with one mind to promote Taiwan's continued advancement and improve the well-being of its people.
