Three new investors were approved to station in Export Processing Zone. The total investment figures amounted over NT$ 100 million.

The Export Processing Zone Administration (EPZA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) convened an investment application review meeting on 29th November 2018. New investment applications, including Taiwan Pulse Motion Co., Ltd., Jim Mei Shipping Agency Co., Ltd., and MAP Electronics Co., Ltd. were approved to invest and station in, and the total investment figures amounted over NT$ 100 million. Taiwan Pulse Motion Co., Ltd. mainly develops automation control modules. In addition, the company designs and develops controllers, I/O systems and motion control systems by themselves. The controllers they made all contain Motionnet control modules; meanwhile, they develop EtherCAT to achieve the multi-functional optimization and complementary results, and make machine automation development more flexible and efficient. According to the EPZA, automation control is the most important part for Taiwan industries for entering smart manufacturing. After Taiwan Pulse Motion Co., Ltd. stations in Taichung Software Park, there will be a significant contribution to not only manufacturers in the park but also smart manufacturing promotion in central Taiwan, and the industrial upgrading and transformation of industries. Jim Mei Shipping Agency Co., Ltd. provides immediate and comprehensive electronic information services of shipping agency by using network management operation systems with modern cloud information services. Jim Mei also cooperate with shipping companies in providing services including security check agents, shipping operations, procurements and supports. After entering Kaohsiung Software Park (KSP), Jim Mei will collaborate with other software industries in there to develop cloud information together, and provide more complete and immediate services for ships owners in surrounding Kaohsiung Port. MAP Electronics Co., Ltd. (Japan) sets up the subsidiary and invests in Kaohsiung Software Park. The company works with its Japanese parent company in developing components of electric transport rechargeable batteries, and exports telecommunications equipment, electronic materials and lithium batteries from Taiwan. Upon establishment, MAP Electronics Co., Ltd. (Taiwan) will operate with existing businesses, quality controls, technologies and other resources from its parent company. At present, MAP has customers in China, Japan and Southeast Asia, and it is a company with high potential for further growth.
